Hal Goldberg is a highly accomplished executive and award-winning composer with a distinctive career bridging the business and creative sides of the live entertainment industry.
Most recently, as Chief Operating Officer for North America at Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG Entertainment), Hal oversaw 21 live entertainment venues across the US, driving operational excellence and profitability with his signature empathetic leadership style. His tenure at ATG followed pivotal roles as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Theatre Operations at Jujamcyn Theaters, where he worked for 20 years.
Beyond his executive leadership, Hal is a celebrated composer, recognized with Barrymore Awards for Outstanding New Play and Outstanding Original Music for the 2007 Philadelphia Theatre Company production of "NERDS." This acclaimed musical just completed a successful run at Curve in Leicester and is now appearing at Edinburgh Fringe Festival. "NERDS" has seen multiple productions, including at the New York Music Theatre Festival (NYMF), New York Stage & Film Festival, and North Carolina Theatre. Hal also composed the music to the musical "THE CHILDREN," presented at NYMF in 2006, and is currently writing the music for a new musical, "A SWELL NIGHT FOR MURDER," with book writer and lyricist, Tim Kodres. Hal is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and remains an active participant on numerous industry boards and committees, embodying a unique blend of business acumen and artistic talent.
